Scope of practice. Eastside Healthcare provides PSW-level personal support and companionship. We are not a nursing agency and cannot accept referrals for wound care, medication administration, injections, or the monitoring and management of medical conditions. I work alongside nursing and clinical teams rather than in place of them.
How referrals work

Call or email the referral line
Send the referral verbally by phone, or by email from a secure or institutional address — whichever suits your workflow.

Same-day acknowledgement
I'll confirm receipt of the referral and get back to you the same day, so it doesn't sit in a queue.

Home visit
I visit to work out what support is actually needed, and what it will cost, before anything is agreed.

Confirmation back to you
You'll hear whether care is starting, the schedule, and who to contact going forward.

Email a referralWhy there's no referral form.A referral carries health information about a patient who is not the person sending it. We take referrals by phone or direct email rather than through an online form, so that information never passes through a third-party service.

Coverage
Ottawa, focused on Kanata, Barrhaven, Orléans, Nepean, Stittsville and the surrounding communities. If a patient lives outside that area, call anyway — I'll tell you plainly whether it's workable.
Privacy
Referral information is used only to arrange care for the patient named in it, and isn't shared beyond the people involved in providing that care.
